Schedule of Events
7:00pm -
You arrive half an hour early. This gives you a chance to greet the
boys and grab a drink. Wherever possible, the chairs will surround
Aaron in semi-circles. Everybody will have a good view of the
action. Prepare for Aaron to engage you directly. He will ask you
questions and work with you during the event. Did you bring a deck
of cards? Sharpen your pencil and grab your notebook. You'll learn
the kind of tips tonight you won't find magic books. Smart students
prepare to write them down.
7:30pm - Aaron starts the seminar by performing two powerful
card tricks within the reach of complete beginners. He'll teach you
every aspect of these effects, so you'll be able to perform them the
next day.
|
Aaron uses these
powerful effects to make a living - the magic happens almost
entirely in the hands of the spectator. |
Now that everyone's learned a few new tricks, Aaron will take you
into the first design workshop of the evening. In it you'll learn a
technique that frightens the big boys. This old idea will provide
the perfect example of the design approach. You'll learn why even
experts, out of fear, say the move is impractical.
You'll learn why those experts are wrong.
|
In twenty
five minutes, you'll become proficient in a technique which will
accord you status among the pros. You'll learn it, and you'll
own it - at the lecture, in real time. Just like the Rangers, no
man will be left behind! |
Relax. You've done well. Sit back while Aaron shows you a powerful
routine with a prop you probably already own. This effect will show
you how a clever presentation and good construction can turn a
standard dealer's item into a powerful piece of close up magic.
Now as the break approaches, sit back and watch Aaron perform some
of his marketed effects. First he'll entertain and fool you. Then
everything will be explained.
9:00pm
- Break Time. If you're not in California, go smoke
that cigarette. Or come up front and watch Aaron perform some eye
popping magic. Aaron has a reputation as one of the hottest card
workers in the United States. But because the seminar focuses on
'hands on' teaching, he doesn't have time to perform all of his most
dazzling magic during the formal program.
|
Break time
is the chance for the serious guys to see the heavy work. |
9:30pm
- Come on back and bring your pack. The second half starts with
Aaron displaying some of his most dazzling, visual magic. This
material made his reputation. Following the performance, Aaron will
discuss the design and application of the Gravity Half Pass. This
technique earned Aaron his reputation; it will not be mastered in an
evening. But Aaron's discussion on the topic will provide valuable
design lessons for anyone interested in improving their card magic.
The concepts used in the Gravity Half Pass also guide the
performance of a good double-lift.
You'll learn
these concepts and how to apply them to your own magic.
Now get ready to have your mind blown. First, Aaron teaches the
tricks he opened the set with. Then, he shows every last audience
member how to achieve the same effects without the half pass! Aaron
will show you how to use your own personality, combined with the
psychology of performance to take the heavy work out of the heavy
work.
|
You'll
achieve the effects that Aaron spent a decade to learn in less
then a half an hour. |
10:15pm - Aaron finishes the evening by teaching two more
effects you'll be able to apply immediately, no matter what your
skill level. Both effects look incredible.
The first will earn you a reputation as a master of misdirection,
even if you have no experience in this challenging aspect magic.
With great power comes great responsibility. Aaron will show you how
not to abuse your new found power. It's one thing to fool people
badly. It's quite another to make them like it!
Finally, you'll learn Aaron's color changing deck routine, called
Revolution Number #9. When the trick first appeared in Aaron's book,
The Paper Engine, it was a stunner. It's still a killer, but now
it's all but automatic! Not only will you achieve perhaps the most
stunning visual effect in your repertoire, but you already know how
to do it.
10:30pm - Ask Aaron any questions you've thought up and see
some last minute magic.

|
Plan to be
filled with good magic and new ideas. Get ready to tackle your
magic with a new sense of understanding and confidence. You can
handle cards. You do have talent. Now go and show the world! |
